That is why Ray got another iron infusion 24th December plus Xrays on his lungs which confirmed fluid build up again so he is having issues in breathing and up at 2:30 this morning then slept an hour then up around 3:30 slept 2 hours in chair in living room but he was choking and trying to breath.
Ray had a real bad fall on the ice and curb going into Spud city for groceries 5-6 days ago he laid on the ice on curb and road a lady came to help and Ray said to her just let me rest for a moment then three burly men came and Ray said to drag him to the side walk where there is no ice. They did and helped me stand up, Ray was really sore from that.
2025-06 Ray is approximately 70-80% recovered from triple bypass etc. Surgery approximately 7 months ago Ray is getting stronger and back to normal and Ray preached the past two Sundays. It has been 4 months since Ray spent 19 days in the hospital in Brandon because of fluid build up around his heart. Ray’s hemoglobin at the last test 2 weeks ago was 112 and it needs to get higher towards the 140 mark. 2024-07-29 UPDATE – PRAYER –
Hi Everyone!
First of all, thanks for taking a second to stop by this page.
By way of introduction, we are Hannah and Jennah (Jason’s daughters) and we wanted to take a moment to talk about the reason for this Go Fund Me, to help our dad, Jason Johnson. It’s easy for us because we’ve known him our whole life, but to sum him up in a few sentences…
He’s been married to our amazing mom, Christine, for almost 26 years. He’s served in various roles as a pastor in local churches, the community, and in schools. He’s also a musician (drummer), and over the last 4 years he’s been working for Steve Bell as his video and media producer.
In the last 4 months, our dad’s health took a turn, and he’s been diagnosed with an aggressive onset of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. As a result, he will require ongoing treatment and MS related accommodations to help combat the very aggressive onset and try to avoid awful relapses of this disease.
All we’ve seen growing up is our family helping, serving, and giving to people, and now as we see our dad being faced with costly MS related expenses and accommodations to fight this, we wanted to ask if you’d consider helping to support us.
We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know the next step is treatment, accommodations to get him healthier, and to try and avoid relapses. This will help him to live as close to normal as possible!
Thank you for your support , and on behalf of our family we are truly grateful.
Sincerely, Hannah & Jennah. Jay’s kids. :).
2024-04-10 UPDATE – PRAYER – Jason has about 80% restored in his sight in his left eye. He is waiting for a MRI. Please continue to pray.
2024-03-01 UPDATE – PRAYER – Jason finished his medication now. Doctor says his sight comes back before the 1 week it won’t be the medication and it’s healing itself. If his sight returns in 2 weeks it is the medication. Please pray for the full healing of his eye. Amen.
2024-02-16 UPDATE – PRAYER – MRI has been done. Pain is down over 75%. Patch is on his left eye. They are going to start him on steroid medication for three days. He will need more of a follow up, another MRI. They discovered more lesions around the back of the eye and brain, optic nerve. Pray continued healing. 2nd Peter 2:22-24. By his stripes we are healed.
2024-02-17 UPDATE – URGENT PRAYER = This update just now from Christine Hi! We are currently at the hospital. Jason is with the ophthalmologist, so just waiting So the ophthalmologist said that his symptoms present as a damaged optic nerve and the only cause of that is MS She also said that she can’t proceed with any diagnosis or treatment without the MRI She wasn’t able to tell us if there is hope his sight will come back So now we wait for the call for the MRI Today he just sees dark grey out of his left eye and the pain is bad.
2024-02-19 UPDATE = Jason went back to misericordia today and my vision has deteriorated since Monday. So they’re getting me in for an emergency MRI as soon as they can. They said to go wait at home for the call rather than sitting in an ER. I also am supposed to be back at Misericordia tomorrow morning to see a specialist. If the pain increases and more vision is lost they said to go right to an ER. They’re guessing it may be an enflamed optic nerve but won’t know until after an MRI which could also reveal other things going on. Thanks for praying!
